ASSASSIN’S CREED IV: SINGLE PLAYER REQUIRES AN INTERNET CONNECTION FOR NEXT GENERATION CONSOLES
Next-generation consoles should require an internet connection to play the game’s single player campaign, said Ubisoft for their next franchise in series for Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. This is due to the reason that the next PlayStation, PlayStation 4 will be featuring a social sharingfor the games and PlayStation 4 influencing this decision over.
This is what the Creative Head Jean Guesdon said,
“ACIVBF will also be available on Next Gen consoles. In addition to improved graphics and physic, Next Gen versions will bring to the players new connected features allowing them to feel that even if they remain “Single Player” it will be better to be a “Single Connected Player.” “I mean, that Next Gen Consoles will allow players to have a solo experience that benefit the presence of a huge community.”
It is still not yet clarified that the internet connection should “Always Be On” or if the single player is playable or impacted without it.
This is not featured for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 of the game, but Wii U might be affected depending if Ubisoft includes those social features for that version.
