BATMAN : ARKHAM ORIGINS COMING TO PS4, XBOX 720 THIS YEAR

Batman : Arkham Origins is the next installment in Batman : Arkham series.

Batman : Arkham Origins is the next installment in Batman : Arkham series being developed byRocksteady Studios rumored to be released on PS4, XBOX 720 and current gen consoles this year.

Batman Arkham origins is set to unveil at E3 2013 and Oh it won’t be a sequel. Arkham Origins will be a prequel set in the silver age of comics which ran from mid 1950 to 1970.  Arkham Origins will also feature appearances from other justice league members like fan favorite Superman and Green Lantern.

It is also rumored that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City writer legendary Paul Dini won’t be returning in Arkham Origins which is a shame because he has written some of the best Batman stories in the past 20 years or so. Mark Hamill the iconic voice actor of Joker will also remain absent from the Arkham Origins.

A french gaming site Gameblog was tipped off about the next Batman game by an unnamed industry source.

Batman : Arkham Origins was also confirmed last month when a transcript of the company’s Q4 2012 earnings call was posted on Seeking Alpha :

“We expect [digital home video revenue] to grow close to 20% in 2013. And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise.”

So it is pretty official folks ( atleast from our side ) Batman : Arkahm Origins is coming this year on PC, current gen & next gen consoles and we hope to see the unveil at E3 2013 or sooner.

Update : Separately, VG247 sources claim this new project is not in development at series creatorRocksteady Studios. That development house is rumored to be working on a stylized prequel that will detail the Dark Knight’s first encounter with the Joker. It is not expected until 2014 at the earliest.
